My boat came with these speakers stock. I A/B'd them against more expensive speakers and the primary difference was bass and not necessarily clarity. The more expensive speakers had heavier bass, but the clarity was about equal. I ordered two more of these for the rear of my boat and installed an inexpensive subwoofer. The system sounds awesome. AND, I am not going to worry much about theft. They do not come with screws!!! Be careful screwing these into fiberglass. I broke off a head for one screw, and now I'll have to tap that out. Don't force it!
