I sent this item back. No, there were no problems with it. The problem product was the cell phone signal booster itself. I believe it is also a WILSON ELECTRONICS product.I "road tested" the signal booster in Montana and North Dakota where it is needed the most due to the terrain in which traffic travels on and it both times. One of the problems is the metal that cars and trucks are made from now do not allow the adhering of the megnetic mount antenna to the roof top of the car.I spoke with Teck support about this and they suggested that the antenna would be fine on the dashboard next to the front windshield. This method also proved to be ineffective for the purpose of the device.I suggest that the engineers of these so called "Problem solver" products go back to the drawing board and redesign them to be effective in the areas where they are most needed.I understand that there are areas on this planet where absolutely nothing would make a difference getting cell phone reception but the Eastern Prairies of Montana and the highways and bi-ways of North Dakota do not qualify as "inaccessible." Communication is essential in those areas and its spotty at best due to the peaks and valleys.I suggest that products be engineered for remote areas and that the designers stop assuming that everybody lives in a major / medium metropolitan area and designing product specifically for those areas, then market them as problem solvers for everywhere. It's very misleading!I really like this mount. I don't like that all the Wilson mounts are very sloppy at the connection between the booster itself and whatever mount as I have had the included stick on mount and this one now. A SERIOUS word of warning, though. Do not try rotate the mount once it is secure. I was trying to give a passenger access to the cradle and tried to rotate it towards the passenger seat and SNAP. It was all over. Just limp and floppy. You would think that that would be adjustable in that direction as well. That said, I like it enough to buy another.I would recommend this. I prefer this over having stickies or screws on my dash panel. I also like that the antenna cable can run between the seats to the rear where I ran it thru the molding of the rear window. If you get a suction cup you will have an antenna cable running over your dash. The con's are that the Wilson cradle will vibrate and fall off unless you jam it on so hard you (almost) break the plastic. But it works. Also I cut the wide lip overhang off of one side because it blocked the edge of the cup holder next to it. They are close to each other. But it is the best choice and works. There was no room for the Sleek to attach to my dash, so I ordered the cup holder. I have 3 cup holders on my console, so it fit securely in one. A little "in the way" but the best I could do and I am happy with it. Can position it so I have to glance down at the phone. . Was too tight a fit in the front cup holder. Would have been better there so I didn't have to look down but interfered with the gear shift. We ran the wiring through the back door and under the seat, up to the connection between the console. No wires in the way.It does what I wanted it to do,so I am satisfied. Easy to take it out and lie it on the back floor,if I don't need it.I drive a 2006 Yukon and there is no good place to put the 'Wilson' unless you put it in front of the passenger seat rendering it useless for the driver if alone. I placed it somewhat under the steering wheel but it was at an angle and the glue did not hold it so it kept falling off rendering it totally useless. This cup holder mount, which enlarges to fit your cup holder whatever the size, sits quite firmly and holds the "Wilson" in place making it usable to driver or passenger alike.Product arrived quickly and as ordered. The cup holder is built solid, more so than other items similar to this one. So far I am happy with my selection and the overall product. The complaint I have is the holder mount does not lock the Wilson sleek into it. If you bump it with your knee or other item, (I drive a semi-tractor trailer and Im 6'2") it will come unmounted and the sleek will fall to the floor board. Given this I would purchase this item again. After using this for a little over 6 months it has already broken. There's a cheap little screw that holds it together on the bottom and it sheared off rendering this thing useless. I would suggest the manufacturer use a little more stout screw to hold this together. However after calling Wilson Electronics they said they would send a new one.Good customer service. Not so good product. It does what it is supposed to do... BUT, a design that tries to work with every situation ultimately doesn't work that well in any of them. The concept is made for a permanent hard sided cup holder. If the cup holder is one that collapses and disappears into a drawer.... well, it's precarious. Add that fit to another precarious cradle mount design and you can be slipping and sliding all over the car. Not a deal breaker, just something to contend with.
